According to dictionary; A Style is Distinctive Appearance, typically determined by the principles according to which something is designed.

Human act of style is a

particular way in which something is done, created, or performed. : a particular form or design of something. : a way of behaving or of doing things.

English accepts Style the way writing it is dressed up (or down) to fit the specific context, purpose, or audience. Word choice, sentence fluency, and the writer's voice — all contribute to the style of a piece of writing.

Examples of Style. Rather than merely sharing information, style lets an author share his content in the way that he wants. For example, say an author needs to describe a situation where he witnessed a girl picking a flower: She picked a red rose from the ground.

In poetry refers to all the choices that are made to create the poem's meaning. Style can include technical choices, such as using short or long lines, varying or omitting punctuation, or using a set rhythm or rhyme scheme.

Style can also  mean the manner in which something is expressed or performed, considered as separate from its intrinsic content, meaning, etc. a distinctive, formal, or characteristic manner of expression in words, music, painting, etc.

To analyze a piece, one must notice the ways that the author uses words: i.e. word choice, sentence structure, figurative language, sentence arrangement, mood, imagery, etc. When analyzing craft/style, look at a piece of writing from the overall structure of the text to the small details and word choices.
